This year I decided to give most of my family some sweet treats rather than typical gifts. As a result, I went all out on baking. I made at least 6 recipies and had to do it all in about a week. Tried out my cookie press I was given as a gift last year. I'm not a fan of the press but the resulting cookies tasted good! Everyone seemed pleased with their tins so I think I may be giving cookies for years to come.

I was contacted a little over a month ago by the guys from Fuze Magazine and asked if they could use one of my photos of Brian Eschbach for an article they were writing on The Black Dahlia Murder. I said yes, of course. Here's some screenshots from the digital version. All the text is in German but I'm still glad to know that I've got a photo out there in a Deutsch music mag!

Final day, just a picture of me with Echo. Basically hate pictures of myself but felt this was tolerable.

I wanted to shoot something with metal or chrome for this prompt. Found an old Brownie Starflex camera I have in my collection of old equipment. It's so cute, has the top down, waist level viewfinder. Took a photo through it of Brian. Image is in reverse of real life of course, I think that's why he looks odd.

Even though flowers are one of my favorite subjects to shoot, I tried to do something other than an actual flower for this one. Attempting to think outside the box here. Some vintage looking flower wallpaper I found. I do like the gradation of the blue background.

Flatiron mountain range near Boulder, CO. I get to see them every day and I'm thankful for that. I never have to wonder which way is west.

Just a pair of earrings I got for our trip. Didn't end up wearing them while we were there but I did wear them today.

I don't have many things that are pink. I really don't like the shade at all. I'm more of a purple gal. I had a pink room when I was a kid, it's still pink actually. It's what I wanted when I moves to the basement when I was seven or eight but in my teens I think I really started to dislike it.
This is a magnet we had when I was a kid. It's an elephant and has a matching bear and hippo. My fridge doesn't have many magnets but I love these. Cute and a little retro.

This is my other cat, Echo. He's the older of my two kitties, he's about eight years old now. I got him when I was maybe 19 and he was all I had when I first moved to Denver. He does nothing but sleep, eat and get hair everywhere and can be a jerk sometimes, but he's my buddy.
